West District RCMP have received more than 25 reports of thefts from vehicles in the St. Stephen, Saint Andrews and surrounding areas over the past month.
Most of the thefts appear to have occurred in the early morning hours and, in all cases, the doors of the affected vehicles were unlocked. Stolen items include cash, electronics and other items of value, according to police.

Police would like to remind the public to always lock their vehicles and keep all valuables secure or hidden. By taking steps to lock vehicles and remove objects from view, the risk of being a victim of this type of crime is much lower.

Anyone with any information regarding these incidents or who has observed suspicious persons/activity around their vehicles in these areas is asked to contact the St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030 or Crime Stoppers either by visiting www.crimenb.ca, calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or texting TIP212 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637).
