2017 ACM Awards Nominations Snubs and Surprises
As interesting as who received nominations for the 2017 ACM Awards is who didn't. While a few stars woke up to pleasant surprises, there are a few who have a right to be confused ... or straight-up angry.
This list of ACM Awards snubs and surprises includes omissions in the Vocal Group, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist and Album of the Year categories. The surprises come from the Entertainer of the Year, Single and Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Vocal Event categories. Who do you think got snubbed?
The 2017 ACM Awards will take place in Las Vegas on April 2 at 8PM ET. Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will host once again — it's Bryan's fifth year hosting, while Bentley reprises a role he was first introduced to in 2016. All nominees are decided through two rounds of voting, and there are specific requirements noted at the ACM website. For example, only works released between Nov. 26, 2015 to Nov. 23, 2016 are eligible. So if you're a Carrie Underwood fan hopping mad about her Storyteller album not earning a nod, that's why.
Taste of Country will once again provide start to finish cover of the ACM Awards, including galleries featuring the best and worst dressed from the red carpet and post-show comments from artists. Feel free to share who you think was snubbed in the comments section below.
