The Woodstock Fire Department responded to the blaze at the single-storey bungalow at 232 Houlton Road around 5:45 p.m., according to Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson. Crews arrived to find smoke coming through the eaves and a bedroom window.

Firefighters entered the building to attack the flames directly. Fourteen members of the Woodstock Fire Department battled the blaze in extreme cold temperatures and remained on scene for over two hours Sunday evening.

There were no injuries, Nicholson said.

Fire officials returned to the site Monday morning to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.
