UMaine's Liz Wood is the America East Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award winner - for the second year in a row.

On the court, the junior forward from Virginia scored her 1,000th career point as the Black Bears had a 20-win season. Wood was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year in AE.

In the classroom, Wood has a 3.93 GPA as a biology major in the honors college. Her concentration is in premedical studies.

Earlier in the year, she won the Dean Smith Award for top student-athlete at UMaine.
