A 54-year-old woman has died following a motorcycle crash on Route 114 in Fundy National Park late Friday afternoon.

RCMP say the woman, from Waasis, N.B, was travelling up a steep incline on a sharp turn around 5:00 p.m. when she lost control of her motorcycle and went off the road. She was thrown from the motorcycle and passed away at the scene, according to Cpl. Clay Wortman of the Riverview Detachment.

The victim has not been identified. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The RCMP is investigating and an RCMP collision reconstructionist has been consulted.
