Wintergreen to Feature Local Artist Caitlin Sanipass in June
Local artist Caitlin Sanipass is Wintergreen Art Center’s featured artist for the month of June.
Her Opening Reception will be held on June 1, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Caitlin Sanipass is a self-taught, lifelong artist. “I have been creating since I can remember,” said Sanipass. “I have many creative outlets but one of my favorites is painting. I mostly paint with acrylic but also enjoy playing around with fluid art such as watercolor, inks, and acrylic pouring.”
As a working artist, Sanipass shares her talents with both children and adults, often serving as Wintergreen’s artist for its’ popular guided-painting events: Sip & Paint events for adults and Pizza ‘n Paint events for teens and tweens.
“We are excited to see Caitlin’s June show and her new art,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director. “Caitlin is so talented and a very giving person as well. She is a positive, creative influence at Wintergreen.”
“I love to share art with others which is why I participate in as many art events as possible,” Sanipass said. “I teach both public and private Paint and Sips. It’s a great way to help others tap into their creative side. I also have frequent art shows, both solo and group, and some of my favorite events are art battles. There is so much fun, exciting energy seeing the impressive things artists can do in an hour.”
Caitlin grew up in the southern Maine towns of Parsonsfield and South Hiram. She currently lives in Presque Isle with her husband and daughter.
