The grant was made possible through the community service of local Allstate Agent Chad Brewer

“Thank you to Allstate volunteer Chad Brewer for being a positive force for change in our community,” said Kim Guerrette Michaud, chairman of Wintergreen’s Board of Directors.  “Chad gave his time and enabled us to receive this Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community grant.  We are grateful to both Chad and the Allstate Foundation.  These much needed funds will go directly to support our children’s programming.”

The Allstate Foundation supports the causes that Allstate agency owners, financial specialists and employees care about most by providing Helping Hands in the Community grants to nonprofits where they volunteer their time to bring out the good in their communities.

“Our entire family supports Wintergreen’s mission to encourage creativity and the arts in Aroostook County,” said Chad, who lives in Presque Isle with his wife Lisa and their two daughters.  “I know how important volunteers are to Wintergreen, and it is great to see their programs directly benefit from this grant as well.”

Brewer recently volunteered at a Sensory Friendly Open Studio sponsored by the Aroostook Autism Support Group and Wintergreen.  He also volunteers as a Conductor for the Center’s very popular Polar Express event in December.
