Winter Storm Warning for Saturday Night and Sunday [UPDATE]
The plows and snow blowers are still busy cleaning up after a major snow storm walloped Maine and New Brunswick Thursday night and Friday. And now another blast of winter has the potential to drop another foot of snow on much of the region. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for most of Maine until Sunday afternoon.. Environment Canada has done the same for nearly the entire province.
Forecasters say the heaviest snow will fall in southern sections of Aroostook County and western New Brunswick . Strong winds are expected to cause widespread blowing and drifting snow and white-out conditions at times. The storm should wind down early Sunday afternoon, with snowfall totals ranging from 5 to 14 inches.
The storm that wrapped up on Valentine's Day dumped between 10-16 inches of snow on northern Maine and western New Brunswick.
