On the heels of a storm that dumped 4 to 7 inches of snow across Aroostook County, comes another storm that could dump twice that amount of snow on the area as we head into December.

The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm Warning from late tonight through Thursday with 8 to 14 inches of snow expected across most of Aroostook County.

Heavy, wet snow is expected to lead to hazardous driving conditions. Temperatures will remain in the lower 30s, with wind gusts up to 25 mph,.

The storm watch area Includes Houlton, Mars Hill, Presque Isle,  Caribou, Van Buren, Frenchville, Fort Kent, Clayton Lake, Allagash, Madawaska and all points in between.

At this time, the weather service says far southern Aroostook County should see considerably less snow, with totals ranging from 4 to 6 inches.
