Willie Nelson recently treated fans to an Austin City Limits performance that included one of his best-loved hits, "If You've Got the Money, I've Got the Time," which the country icon first released in 1976. Nelson's new rendition of his classic song was part of a 16-song set at ACL, during which time Nelson took his audience on a journey through the course of his multi-decade catalog of hits. As he plays "If You've Got the Money ...," audience members cheering and singing along can be heard in the background, with the kind of uproarious energy and improvisational spirit that has always been a hallmark of Nelson's live presence.

One of Austin City Limits' most seminal participants, Nelson helped launch ACL, performing on its pilot episode back in 1974 -- two years before he topped the charts with his version of "If You've Got the Money, I've Got the Time."

"There would be no Austin City Limits without Willie Nelson -- simple as that," ACL Executive Producer Terry Lickona states in a press release. "He launched ACL into the television universe in 1974, and has helped keep us going for 45 years. It was truly emotional to witness such an outpouring of love from the audience. This show is Willie Nelson, plain and simple."

Nelon's new set on the Austin City Limits stage also includes a bevy of his most iconic songs, including "Whiskey River," "Crazy" and his trademark set-closer, a combination of "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "I'll Fly Away." Nelson's performance is a part of the show's 44th season, and will air on Saturday (Jan. 26) at 9PM ET on PBS stations across the country.
