Who Took Jupiter From U.S. Route 1?
If you drive along Route 1, also known as the Houlton Road, then you've probably noticed that Jupiter is missing from the Solar System.
While driving along U.S. Route 1 from Mars Hill, I noticed that Jupiter was not at its post. The four moons were there, but not Jupiter.
I got out of the car and looked around and saw no Jupiter. Did it go in for maintenance? Did the wind knock it off its post? Or, maybe someone stole it?
If you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, let me explain. A community project was erected along Route 1, or the Houlton Road, from 2000-2003, for the public to learn about our Solar System.
The Sun is located at the Northern Maine Museum of Science in Folsom Hall on the campus of the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Pluto can be seen at the Houlton Information Center, just north of the Interstate 95 interchange.
The whole range of the project is 40 miles.
Again, do you know what happened to Jupiter?
