There will be a much needed new traffic signal by the end of November on Civic Center Drive in Augusta. The intersection with Darrin Drive and the newly made road of Blue Star Avenue is under construction and will be into the spring 2017.

The road work is being done due to the new Maine National Guard Headquarters building that will be opening soon.

The traffic signal should be operating by the end of November. It will be near the Comfort Inn and 99 Restaurant and the KFC and the Irving Gas station.

If you have ever tried to turn left from Darrin Drive onto Civic Center Drive you are happy to see a traffic signal being installed!

What other intersections in central Maine do you think there should be a traffic signal?
