A Washburn man faces charges for allegedly downloading sexually explicit images of minors to his computer.

In November 2015, law enforcement became aware of sexually explicit images of minors being downloaded to a computer in Washburn, according to a press release Thursday from Sgt. Joshua Haines. The Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Homeland Security Investigations in Houlton worked to identify and interview the person believed to be responsible, Haines said.
