Accident in Western New Brunswick Leaves Two People Dead
RCMP responded to a motor vehicle accident below Woodstock Tuesday afternoon that claimed the lives of two people from Perth-Andover.
RCMP say the driver of a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle while heading east on Highway 2 in Charlie Lake, New Brunswick. The pickup flipped when it made contact with the gravel shoulder. Two passengers-a man and woman-were not wearing seat belts and were ejected almost a hundred feet from the truck.
Police say 49-year-old Donald Alan McQuade of Perth-Andover died at the scene. 42-year-old Lisa Dawn Hitchcock of Perth-Andover passed away en route to the hospital.
The driver, a 44-year-old man from Carlingford, N.B. suffered serious injuries and remains in the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
