Police say the vandalism occurred sometime between Wednesday evening and early Thursday at a gravel pit in Rivière-à-la-Truite, just west of Tracadie-Sheila.

The windshield of a Hyundai wheel loader parked in the gravel pit was damaged, according to Sgt. Marc Beaupré of the Tracadie-Sheila Detachment.  One or more suspects apparently smashed the windshield with a piece of metal that was found at the scene.
