In the most dramatic fashion possible, the USA juniors team beat Canada last night to claim the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship. A 5-4 victory in an overtime shootout at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Many of the best under 20-year-old players in the world make up the rosters of these national teams. Several players for Team USA are current Hockey East team players.

After 80 minutes of hockey and a 4-4 score, they went to a five-round penalty shot shootout. Troy Terry  scored the only goal for Team USA. Goalie Tyler Parsons stopped all five tries by Canada.
