Team USA scored a 2-1 shootout win over Finland in the opening round of the World Junior Tournament in Canada. The event features the best under-20-year-old players in the world.

That includes several Boston University and Boston College players. They figured prominently in the scoring. Jack Eichel(BU) had a goal and assist. Alex Tuch(BC) had a goal. Thatcher Demlo(BC) was the winning goalie.

Pool play continues Sunday for Team USA with a game against Germany.
