As of 10am on Tuesday 10/21, the National Weather Service in Caribou was calling for up to six inches of rain on the midcoast, central Maine, and parts of northern Maine, with amounts tapering off as you travel further away from the center of the state.

Over a span of four days, Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick could see anywhere from 3-5 inches of rain. Get out those rain boots!

Storm timing from the NWS:
-Rain beginning later today (Tuesday) for Downeast, including Bangor.
-Rain beginning late tonight (Tuesday night) over Northern Maine, but will be pretty light.
-Heaviest period of rain will likely be Thursday to Thursday night, with rain for the whole area.
-Ending Friday night, although another system could bring some showers for the weekend.

National Weather Service forecast for Eastern Maine:
"For the most part, we don't expect significant flooding for the eastern half of Maine, as the rain will be spread out over a long enough period and rivers aren't running that high to begin with. There could be some minor river flooding, though. The main impact for Eastern Maine will be on streams and creeks, which could reach bankfull. Better shot at flooding for Downeast, where the heaviest rain is expected."
