The matinee-only performance will begin at 3 p.m. in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall and is free and open to the public. Get there early and enjoy an interactive musical prelude at 2:30 with members of the troupe.

The Importance of Being Earnest is at once blissfully silly and outrageously shrewd, and is a theatrical delight. Oscar Wilde's creation continues to entertain audiences120 years after its first performance with playful language, charming characters, and a biting look at contemporary society.

This performance is part of the American Shakespeare Center's 2015/2016 Dangerous Dreams Tour. The tour takes them through the Mid-Atlantic and New England from September to November 2015 and the South and Midwest from January through March of 2016.
