UMaine’s Perillo Activated By Packers

Former University of Maine tight end Justin Perillo will be in uniform for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday when they host the San Diego Chargers at Lambeau Field.The team signed Perillo to the active roster on Wednesday after safety Sean Richardson was placed on season ending IR. Perillo was one of the last cuts made in camp and quickly signed to the practice squad where he has spent the first 5 weeks of the season.

Reports form Green Bay indicate that Perillo could take snaps away from Kennard Backman and Richard Rogers who have struggled this season. Perillo will likely contribute on special teams as well.
