UMaine Defenseman Hutton Turns Pro
UMaine hockey defenseman Ben Hutton will give up his senior year of college and sign a pro contract with Vancouver. That makes two underclassmen leaving the Black Bear program early - Devin Shore signed with Dallas last week.
Hutton was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 5th round in 2012.
HIs three year career at Maine finishes with 28 goals and 37 assists in 108 games.
Hutton is likely to report to Vancouver's AHL team in Utica, New York.
WCSH6 in Portland first reported the Hutton signing.
