The UMaine softball team stopped Binghamton 2-1 Sunday afternoon and as a result the Black Bears take the weekend America East Conference series 2-1.

UM pitcher Erin Bogdanovich threw a complete game 2-hitter.

Rachel Harvey and Felicia Lennon led the nine-hit attack for Maine with two hits each.

The Bears improve to 6-2 in AE, 17-15 overall, Binghamton is 7-2 and 21-12.

UMaine Baseball rallied from being down 3-1 to scoring five runs in the bottom of the 7th inning and beat UMBC 7-5 in the rubber game of its America East Conference weekend series. It is Maine's second AE win and first conference series win.

Chris Murphy and Nick Silva combined on the hill to get the win.

Jeremy Pena had three hits and two RBI for the Bears. Kevin Stypulkowski and Colin Ridley both had two RBI as well.

Maine improves to 2-6 in AE, 10-23 overall. UMBC is 6-5 and 16-16.
