Future University of Maine women’s basketball player Naira Caceres won the Most Valuable Player award for her efforts in the Spanish Championship U18 National games.

Caceres, who committed to the UMaine women’s basketball program this past winter, led her Spanish National team to a gold medal in the games and averaged 18.5 points and 15.2 rebounds during the tournament.  She also earned the best rebounder of the competition for her efforts on the boards.
