Country newcomer Tucker Beathard has released his debut single, "Rock On," through Big Machine Label Group.

Beathard co-wrote "Rock On" with Marla Cannon-Goodman and his father, well-known country songwriter Casey Beathard.

“It was important to me when deciding on the first single that the song was one that I felt would show who I am as an artist, musician and songwriter,” Tucker Beathard says in a press release. “I'm a bit of an introvert, but writing songs and performing them is my way of expressing myself, and I hope it resonates with people."

In addition to singing on "Rock On," Beathard also plays both drums and lead guitar on the track. Press play below to hear the tune.

"I mean, it's such a simple little hook," Beathard notes. "I'm just trying to do what I love ... I signed up to make music that I love, that I can feel and connect to people with and express myself with. That's the whole reason I'm doing it."

Beathard will spent his summer on the road with Dierks Bentley, on Bentley's 2016 Somewhere on a Beach Tour. He is hard at work on his debut album, but "Rock On" is available on iTunes now.
