A Central Aroostook man hauling a flatbed loaded with telephone poles lost his load in an accident today.

Maine State Police say 71-year-old Terrance Gregg of Presque Isle was traveling east on Rt. 163, the Haystack Road, while operating a 2004 Mitsubishi flatbed farm truck. Trooper Adam Stoutamyer says the vehicle crested a hill and started to travel on a fairly steep down hill grade just east of Haystack Mountain.

Stoutamayer says the trailer started to fishtail, causing the truck and trailer to skid sideways off the north side of the roadway, flip over and come to rest in the ditch.
