Oct. 13 – Trooper Levesque and Trooper Doody responded to a suicidal male/family fight in Mapleton.  After investigation, male subject was arrested for domestic assault on his stepfather and transported to Aroostook County Jail.

Oct. 13 - Trooper Lilley and Trooper Monahan responded to Patten for a report of a suicidal female.  After arriving and speaking to involved parties, Trooper Lilley arrested the female for domestic assault.

Oct. 14 – Troop F traveled to Bangor for the Northern Division Inspection.

Oct. 14 - Troopers Michaud and Clark responded to a Westfield residence when a female called and reported she needed an ambulance for her boyfriend.  The caller stated she had ended the relationship and as a result the male subject cut or stabbed himself in the head.  The male subject was extremely intoxicated and had to be restrained in order to receive medical treatment.  It was unclear how the male subject’s head was injured, but there was no evidence of any criminal conduct.  The male subject was warned not to return to the mobile home.  The Troopers were assisted by the Warden Service and ACSO.

Oct. 14 - Trooper Darcy was called out twice to the same residence in Island Falls for family fights where nothing physical had occurred.  Troopers had been to this residence five times in the past two weeks.  Trooper Darcy gave a 20-year-old male a disorderly conduct warning and a warning for criminal trespass.

Oct. 15 Trooper Sylvia investigated a theft in Stacyville.  A male subject reported someone entered his residence and stole a jar of change.  The victim’s girlfriend is the suspect and he does not want to pursue charges against her.

Oct. 16 - Trooper Marquis arrested a 19-year-old Fort Kent male on a criminal threatening warrant in Fort Kent.  Trooper Marquis had been told about the warrant from Fort Kent PD.  The male was involved in an altercation with one of the PD’s officer a few a couple of days prior.

Oct. 17 - Trooper Jeff Clark responded to E. Plantation for a report of family fight and possible suicidal male who had threatened family members and others with a hatchet.  Investigation revealed that male subject had assaulted and threatened another male at the residence.  Male had fled into the woods upon Troopers arrival and Sgt. Fuller responded with his K-9 Glenni to track the male.  Sgt. Fuller and Glenni tracked a short distance into the woods where Glenni located the male hiding.  Trooper Clark arrested the male without further incident for assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and a warrant for unpaid fines and he was transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

Oct. 17 - Troopers Casavant and Sylvia took a 58-year-old Stacyville male into protective custody in Mount Chase. Troopers had dealt with the subject repeatedly over a course of three days.  The subject was off his medication and had been progressively going downhill in his behavior.  The subject became non-compliant and caused a small amount of damage to Trooper Sylvia’s cruiser while being transported to the hospital.  The subject subsequently was involuntarily committed to a mental health facility.

Oct. 17 - Trooper Doody arrested a 49-year-old Fort Fairfield man for violation of conditions of release and an active warrant.

Oct. 17 - Trooper Bell was off duty and returning home in his personal vehicle when he noticed a car that appeared to OUI.  Trooper Bell alerted Houlton Police Department. Trooper Bell observed the vehicle nearly hitting a parked car.  The car eventually stopped and Houlton P.D. arrived at the scene to evaluate the driver.  The driver was stumbling significantly and began vomiting.  The driver was taken by ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital and the case remains under investigation.

Oct. 18 - Trooper Hafford responded to Eagle Lake for a family fight.  Elderly male with dementia and Alzheimer’s had threatened another family member with a knife.  After investigation, elderly male was transported to hospital for treatment of his medical conditions, no charges filed.

Oct. 18 - Trooper Hafford responded to Grand Isle for a reported assault. Investigation showed that several 18-year-old females from Van Buren had driven to Grand Isle and confronted another 18-year-old female and physically assaulted her.  Trooper Hafford charged one of the females with assault.

Oct. 19 - Trooper Casavant responded to Blaine for a report of a family fight.  The fight was determined to be a verbal altercation between male and female but male subject was arrested for violation of bail conditions (alcohol), OUI –Liquor (third offense) and operating after revocation.  Trooper Casavant transported male to Aroostook County Jail.

Trooper Saucier spent three days at MCJA evaluating newly certified Breath Testing Device instructors teach the BLETP cadets.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
