RCMP in the Woodstock area are advising those traveling on the Trans-Canada Highway this morning to expect delays.

There was a tractor trailer accident reported at around 4 a.m. at kilometer 199 in the eastbound lanes on the T.C.H. near Woodstock on Monday morning.

Woodstock Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson said that the driver of a tractor trailer struck a moose. The truck's operator was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say traffic is reduced to one lane and that motorists should drive with caution and expect delays in the area near the accident site.
