The truck, loaded with French fries, struck the guardrail in the median just after 1am, near the Northern Ave. overpass.  The truck came to rest on its side on top of the guardrails.

The wreck has been removed after causing delays on both sides for nearly ten hours. The passing lane along the southbound side will remain closed throughout the day for crews to repair the median guardrail.  Both northbound lanes are expected to remain open as that work takes place during the day Monday.

State Police say the driver , 44 year old Duncan MacPhee from Cornwall,  Prince Edward Island, fell asleep.  Both the driver and his passenger were not injured.
