As I was perusing Facebook today, I saw a post that made me stop and think for a second.  Are Mainers seriously thinking about registering their snowmobiles already?

Well, according to the Maine Snowmobile Association's Facebook page, 2013-2014 registration stickers are currently available at the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife headquarters and also online.

In our great state, ATV and snowmobile registrations are valid from July 1st through June 30th of the following year.   So in theory, you could actually register you snowmobile way before the snow actually flies.

Resident Registration is $40. Non-residents have two options - a 3 consecutive day registration is $43; and a full season is $88, plus a small agent processing fee.

Now, not that I think the price of registering our snowmobiles is outrageous or anything, but I for one, am definitely not thinking about registering my snowmobile right now.... Only when the snow actually falls, will I consider it. Am I alone in this?

Do me a favor and share this post with your friends, and let's get some buzz going about this and see what Mainers really think!
