UPDATE: The RCMP says four men who were reported missing in the woods in northern New Brunswick have been found safe and sound Monday.

Police say the men, 21-year-old Cody Mitchell, 26-year-old Lee Mitchell, 38-year-old Andrian Joe and 42-year-old Lloyd Augustine are all from Burnt Church. They are believed to have gone into the woods Sunday in the Christmas Mountains/Heath Steele Mines area to gather tips from fir trees to make Christmas wreaths.

The men are experienced in the woods have carried out this type of work in the past, according to Sgt. Blair Lutz of the Northeast District RCMP.

The four went into the woods Sunday but failed to return to Burnt Church at nightfall and were reported missing to police. They were last seen driving a maroon, 2005 Chevrolet truck with New Brunswick license plate CNJ 100.

Blackville RCMP are asking that anyone who may have spoken to the men before they entered the woods or may have information about their whereabouts to please contact the RCMP at (506) 843-9400.
