The three men face charges including forcible confinement, kidnapping, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and pointing a firearm.

Canada-wide arrest warrants were issued on October 15 for 42-year-old Shawn Augustine, 40-year-old Meneka Weva, both from Moncton, and 36-year-old Jeremy Bernard from Prince Edward Island, said police.

Bernard was arrested on October 15 in Moncton. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on October 19, was released, and is expected to appear in court again on November 17.

Weva was arrested on October 16 in Moncton, and appeared in court on October 19.  He was then remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court on November 4.

Augustine was arrested on October 17 in Moncton, appeared in court on October 19, and was remanded into custody. He is expected to appear in Moncton Provincial court on November 6.

According to police, shortly after 11 a.m. police responded to a report that a 50-year-old woman had been abducted from her Gordon Street home in Moncton, and driven to Sackville earlier that morning.  She was released by her abductors without injury.

Suspects later returned to her home, where a 26-year-old man was threatened and assaulted during a home invasion. The 26-year old man sustained serious injuries and was treated at the hospital, said police.

The investigation is continuing.
