Thompson-Hamel, LLC Acquires Bangor-Based Financial Firm

Presque Isle-based financial services firm Thompson-Hamel, LLC has reached an agreement to purchase the Bangor-based Farrington Financial Group.

The announcement comes as respected Bangor businessman Frank Farrington retires 45 years after founding Farrington Financial. Since 1971, the company has developed a client base from Fort Kent to southern Maine.

Both of these firms have long been affiliated with Ameritas Life Insurance Company and Ameritas Investment Corporation, providing their clients with estate & retirement planning, investment and insurance services. Thompson-Hamel, LLC also provides payroll processing services to its clients throughout Maine.
