A group of 19 New Brunswick firefighters left the province on May 27 to battle forest fires north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. They're expected to be out west through next week.

This is the second group of New Brunswick firefighters deployed to the western province. The first crew of 19 was deployed on May 11 and spent 16 days battling fires in Worsley.

New Brunswickers with connections to Alberta who may be eligible for assistance are encouraged to visit the following Service New Brunswick locations for support in processing their applications: Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, Dieppe, Woodstock, Bathurst, Miramichi, Campellton and Edmundston.
