Maine's Austin Theriiault gets a 9th place finish at the Pocono Speedway ARCA Series race in Pennsylvania. He will maintain his #1 spot in the driver championship race.

18-year-old rookie Riley Herbst won the race, his first victory in the series.

Theriault, who won last week's ARCA race in Minnesota, started the race from the #12 spot. Positions were determined by practice speeds instead of qualifying because of scheduling issues. The two NASCAR series events are racing at Pocono this weekend as well.

The Fort Kent racer had a 155 points lead for the driver championship.

Through seven ARCA races Theriault has finished in the top 10 in every race, including two wins.

Next week the ARCA series races at Michigan Speedway.
