Maine's Austin Theriault finishes in 2nd place at the ARCA Series race in Michigan and will expand his points lead for the driver championship.

Theriault, the 23-year-old from Fort Kent, drives the #52 car for the Kenny Schrader Race Team. He started the race in the 17th spot.

The winner of the 200-mile race was Brandon Jones.

Theriault entered the race at Michigan International Speedway with a 145 point lead over Dalton Sargeant who finished in third place.

In eight races so far in the series, Theriault has never finished worse than 6th. He has two wins and now a runnerup finish.

The ARCA Series moves on to a race in Madison, Wisconsin next week.
