If it wasn't bad luck, perhaps Austin Theriault would have no luck at all. The Friday rain in Charlotte, North Carolina has knocked the young Fort Kent driver out of the NASCAR Truck Series race rescheduled for today.

Theriault was scheduled to drive the #2 truck owned by Brad Kesolowski - a one race deal with a Maine company (Klixel8) sponsoring the truck.

But, when rain cancelled pole qualifying the NASCAR rules call for the starting grid to be deterimed by owner points. Theriault and the #2 truck only have a handful of points from the season opening race in Daytona.

So no spot for Theriault among the 36 spots for the race today.
