Theresa Fowler departed Thursday as the executive director of the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce. She held that position for the past 10 years.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Fowler had this to say about leaving the organization:

It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing to inform you that effective immediately I will not be at the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce.”

Fowler went on to say in an email:

I appreciate all the support you have given to me personally and the Chamber of Commerce over the past ten years.

I hope to be employed again in the area very soon and that our paths will cross again.

We’ll update this story as information becomes available.
