The Sixth Meth Manufacturing Response by MDEA This Year

MDEA and Lewiston Police have a downtown apartment secured for a suspected methamphetamine inside. This is the sixth meth response by MDEA this year.

Agents and Lewiston PD were following up on information of meth manufacturing at 333 Lisbon Street, apartment 203, just after midnight Friday morning.

Two men have been charged with manufacturing meth - Joseph Marcous , 29, who rents the apartment and 28 year old Samuel Johnson. Both are at the Androscoggin Jail.

Items consistent with meth manufacturing were discovered at the apartment. The apartment was secured and the multi-unit apartment building was evacuated pending the arrival of the MDEA Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team. Approximately 20 people were evacuated from the building.
