The new year ushers in a new afternoon sports show on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. 'The Drive' will debut on Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. and features local broadcasters Jim Churchill, Jeff Solari and Wes Hart.

The new local drive time show is a collaborative effort between SportsNet Maine and Townsquare Media. The show promises to be listener-focused, interactive and opinionated. It will air Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Jim Churchill is a graduate of Brewer High School and the University of Maine. Churchill began his sports broadcasting career in 1995 at WZON in Bangor providing play by play and color duties for high school sports. Jim was also a fill-in host on the "Sportszone Morning Show," "The Home Stretch" and "HangTime." He launched "The House of the Fenway Faithful" segment on WZON serving as "The Rev" for several years. In 2000, Churchill began broadcasting University of Maine Baseball becoming the "Voice of Maine Baseball." Jim has broadcast over 500 Maine Baseball games in the last 15 years.  He also broadcasts Maine Men's basketball games for the Black Bear Sports Network providing color commentary and play by play.  Recently, Churchill has been the sideline reporter for Maine football broadcasts and hosted "The Coach Cos Show" in the program's first few years. Jim was named the Maine Sportscaster of the Year in 2010. Churchill has been a business owner in the Bangor area for 30 years.

Jeff Solari is a graduate of Mount Desert Island High School and the University of Southern Maine. Solari began broadcasting sports while in high school doing local high school games on local cable TV and WDEA radio in Ellsworth. He continued to broadcast sports while at USM covering Final Four basketball teams and a national champion baseball team. After graduating from college, Jeff became a TV anchor at WLBZ-TV working with Dale Duff and Lee Goldberg from 1992-1995.  In the late 90s, Solari did high school games for WMDI in Bar Harbor and provided play by play of Maine Women's basketball during the Cindy Blodgett era. In 2003, he served as co-host of the Oklahoma football postgame show on WKY in Oklahoma City. Jeff came back to Maine in 2004 and hosted "The Shootaround," an afternoon sports talk show until 2010. Jeff has served as an adjunct professor at the New England School of Communications. Solari has won over 15 MAB and AP broadcaster awards. He is currently the Manager of Business Development at the law firm Rudman-Winchell.

Wes Hart is a graduate of Bangor High School and the New England School of Communications His instructors at NESCOM included Jeff Solari and Dale Duff of 92.9 The Ticket. Wes began his professional broadcasting career at WZON in 2012 providing play by play and color duties for high school sports. He has recently delivered the sportscasts for the Pulse Morning Show on WZON. Wes has called 19 State Championship games in his brief career. He also works in the Sports Information Department at Husson University. Hart will be Sr. Producer for "The Drive" along with his hosting duties.
