According to Chief Deputy Darrell Crandall of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department, the woman called police from her home on the Grass Road in Blaine shortly after 1:00 Friday afternoon, and reported there were three men in her house.

Crandall said the woman was involved in an altercation with one of the young men who allegedly threatened her with a handgun and discharged it into the air. The three males then left the home. No one was injured in the incident.

Sheriff’s deputies, along with State Police, Border Patrol and Warden Service personnel responded.  Police located one man and a juvenile a short time later at a home on the East Ridge Road in Mars Hill.  Crandall said a 17-year-old male was charged with Criminal Threatening and Reckless Conduct with a Firearm and taken into custody.

Later in the afternoon, sheriff’s deputies and MDEA agents returned to the Mars Hill home and executed a search warrant.  Officers reportedly recovered a handgun, ammunition, drugs and other undisclosed evidence.

Police found the third person early Friday evening in Blaine.  The two adults have not been charged, according to Crandall. He said the investigation is ongoing and other charges may be filed.
