On this day in 1982, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson hit the top spot with the song, ‘Just to Satisfy You.’  The song was initially a regional solo hit for Jennings in the 60s but his remake in 1982 shot straight to No.1.

On this day in 1978, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson had a No.1 hit with “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.”  It stayed at the top for four weeks and garnered the duo a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
