Aroostook Aspirations Initiative

The 3rd annual Night With the Stars Gala, hosted by Aroostook Aspirations Initiative, took place Saturday, September 17th at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

The recently announced 2016 Gauvin Scholars of Aroostook Aspirations Initiative’s scholarship program have now received recognition from one of Aroostook County’s most famous former residents.

Dana Connors, president of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, will serve as the keynote speaker for the Aroostook Aspirations Initiative's third annual Night with the Stars gala.

Aroostook Aspirations Initiative is set to host its annual Scholar Weekend from July 15 to 17 with many of the events taking place at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle.

On May 21, Aroostook Aspirations Initiative will host the County Service Challenge.

Aroostook Aspirations received more positive news this week.  Pineland Farms, known in Aroostook for their Naturally Potatoes plant, announced today that the Mars Hill based company has committed to a $50,000 donation, payable at the rate of $10,000 per year beginning in2014, to the Aroostook Aspirations Initiative.

Students participating in the first-of-its-kind Heidi’s Hope Serve-a-Thon on October 18 in Houlton are literally going to the dogs and reaching out to help other kids. The community has rallied around the Houlton Humane Society (HHS) and other community projects all for Heidi's Hope, an innovative way to connect kids and community.
