Surveillance Video Shows Theft of Vehicle in Edmundston [UPDATE]

A thief who was filmed stealing a Sport Utility Vehicle from an Edmundston dealership has been apprehended after video of the crime was shared on Facebook.

Violette Motors posted this security camera video showing someone walking onto the lot on Queen Street last Friday night and stealing a black Ford Escape.  Police say the stolen SUV has been located about 60 miles (100km) away in Saint Quentin, New Brunswick.  A reward was offered to the person who found the vehicle.

Edmundston Police Force have since identified a suspect in this crime. We'll have further details as they become available.
