Stockholm Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Crimes Against Infant

An Aroostook County man accused of sexually abusing an infant pleaded guilty Thursday to child pornography charges.

Police say that 21-year-old Benjamin Rossignol of Stockholm took graphic photos of a one-month-old girl and posted them on the internet. He was taken into custody at his home on November 8.

In U.S. District Court in Bangor on Thursday, Rossignol changed his plea to guilty on charges of possessing and transporting child pornography.  A sentencing date on the federal charges has not been set.

He is also facing state charges including unlawful sexual contact, sexual exploitation of a minor, and dissemination of sexually explicit material.

Rossignol  is being held at the Aroostook County Jail on $10,000 bail.
