St. Stephen is known as Canada’s Chocolate Town and is home to Ganong Bros. Ltd., Canada’s oldest candy company. Each year since 1985, in August, the town holds an annual Chocolate Festival to celebrate their rich and delicious history. The success of the festival led to the creation of the Chocolate Museum in 1999 and its expansion in 2009.
