The Town of St. Stephen is making plans to host the province’s official 2016 New Brunswick Day celebrations to be held on Monday, August 1st.

New Brunswick Day has been celebrated since 1976. An official host community has been chosen since 1990.

St. Stephen is known as Canada’s Chocolate Town and is home to Ganong Bros. Ltd., Canada’s oldest candy company. Each year since 1985, in August, the town holds an annual Chocolate Festival to celebrate their rich and delicious history. The success of the festival led to the creation of the Chocolate Museum in 1999 and its expansion in 2009.
