Speirs Misses Cut At Web.com Tourney [SCORES]

Bangor golfer Jesse Speirs has missed the cut in his first Web.com Tour event. A 2-over par 72 today leaves him +5 after two days and that's below the cut line.

The cut line to play on Saturday and Sunday is projected to be 1-over.

The tourney is being played in Panama City, Panama.

After finishing +3 on Thursday, Speirs was playing well and was 3-under par after 7 holes. Then a bogey and double-bogey had him even at the halfway mark.

With four holes to play, he was 1-under and in position to make the cut. Then came bogeys on three of the last four holes, ending his first Web.com Tour event.

The tour moves on to Colombia next week. Speirs plan to compete in that event as well.
