Simply put, the Red Sox let one get away Monday night against the Chicago White Sox. A 3-1 loss that never should have been.

After Steven Wright fluttered his knuckleball for nine innings, giving up just one run, the Sox had a golden opportunity to win.

They loaded the bases with no outs and a perfect chance to walk-off with a win in a 1-1 game.

Pinch hitter Dustin Pedroia struck out, Christian Vazquez hit into a force play and picnch hitter Ryan LaMarre struck out.

In the top of the 10th, closer Craig Kimbrel struggled and lost then game when Jose Abreu hit a 2-run double.

At 39-30, the Sox stay a game behind Baltimore for first place in the AL East because the O's lost as well.
