Nothing went right for the Boston Red Sox on Saturday evening as the Sox lost by 19 runs in a 21-2 defeat.

Every Boston pitcher, except positional player Ryan Lamarre, gave up three or more runs from the mound.  Clay Buchholz got the start and went just 4.1 innings, allowing six runs on seven hits.  The Angels would break the game open in the seventh inning with an 11 run frame to push away any doubt about the outcome.

Albert Pujols and CJ Cron each had five runs batted in for the game as the latter also pushed across six hits and scored five runs of his own.

The Sox were able to hold pace with the Orioles who also lost on Saturday and trail Baltimore by four games in the AL East.  Sean O’Sullivan was recalled after the game and will face Matt Shoemaker in the series finale.
