The massive wildfires that have devastated the area of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada are starting to have an impact on Maine.

Smoke from the fires, which have burning since May 1, has started to drift over Maine, and while it may not cause any problems, it could lead to more colorful sunsets for the next couple of days.

In a Facebook post, WGME Meteorologist Charlie Lopresti said that the skies over Maine haven't been as blue as usual for a little while, because of the smoke, and he added that should lead to some more colorful than usual sunsets due to the smoke in the atmosphere.

A quick video peek outside our studios showed the skies did look a little less blue than usual.

So take a peek outside at dusk over the next few days, and share your photos of the colorful sunsets. We'd love to see them!
