The price at the pump remained pretty stable over the last week in New England.

In Maine, GasBuddy.com's survey of gas outlets saw the average retail price of a gallon of gas rose by 1.1 cents from last week to $$2.85 a gallon. As of Monday morning, most gas stations in Presque Isle were charging $2.93 a gallon.

Neighboring New Hampshire's average gas prices went up slightly to $2.79 a gallon, while Vermont's pump price remained unchanged from last week's $2.88 a gallon,

Nationwide, the average price dropped nearly a penny from last month to $2.86 a gallon. That's 52.1 cents higher than it was last year at this time.
